I got a copy of NHL 2k6 from 2KSports ( http://www.2ksports.com/ ) today and I’ve started my season as the Rangers ( http://www.nyrangers.com/ ). I’ve never been into the sports games (well besides Hot Shots Golf) and really only played them a few times. But I’m going to give the season a shot and try to finish it up. So far so good is all I have to say… And check out these pictures for a good laugh…
The commentary isn’t that great – in a game I’m playing right now the score is 1-0 and the announcer just said that the home team is “down by two”. WTF? On top of that the continuously repeated lines are enough to make you sick. I’ve only played four games and it’s the same crap over and over. Is that the way all sports games are?!?
Anyway, now I just need to get into trading players and all that crap… Or I can just ride the season out and see what happens. I’ll keep you posted.
I’m addicted! I admit it. I’m not even sure how it happened…
Somehow a couple of weeks ago I came across VinylPulse ( http://www.vinylpulse.com ). A that was the start of my downfall. After looking around VinylPulse’s links to artists and other ‘designer vinyl’ (read as ‘toys’) sites and found a cool ass Coke ( http://www.coke.com/ ) Trexi ( http://www.playimaginative.com/ ). I wanted it so I went on Ebay
( http://www.ebay.com ) and got it.
It started simple enough. It really did… Then I was doing some work over on 5th Ave. And I decided to drop into Kidrobot (
http://www.kidrobot.com/ ). One side note: there is no parking on the street where KidRobot NYC is located so if you drive up you’ll find a spot. Just be quick in the store (or leave someone outside by the car). That trip landed me a second Trexi figure.
It was all down hill after that next thing I know I’m on Ebay looking for anything I can get. My collection is still pretty small at only five pieces here but I’ve got three more Kidrobot Dunny’s, a super limited edition Trexi (San Diego Comic Con chase version by Lase).
It’s the one on the left. And of course (if I can figure out how to transfer the money) a ‘Trapped in Space’ Trexi signed by the designer Erwin Weber ( http://www.erwinweber.nl/ ).
Anyway, time to check out ‘Sniper Elite’ then back to job hunting…
