Madox makes a good point.  Sony hates us.

Sony has announced that the PSP 3.0 firmware is ready for those willing (stupid?) to upgrade.  Along with version 3.0 we finally get official word on PS1 emulation!  Remember the PS1 emulator for PSP?  Well, forget about it unless your one of the six or seven people who managed to buy a PS3.  That’s right a PS3 is required to play PS1 games.   How lame.

I thought I’d drop in real quick before I go off and (finally) sit down and get some play time with Atari’s Battlezone PSP remake. I did indeed start work on Monday and it’s pretty cool so far! I don’t think I can really go into the actual work type stuff so, instead I’ll tell you about the “Welcome Aboard” kit I got. Here’s the run down:

• Activision Coffee mug.
• Activision hacky sack.
• Vicarious Visions pen
• Activision/VV bottle opener
• VV cooler bag.

Nice! I think I’m going to like it there. Anyway, I better try to get some Battlezone time in so I can actually write some sort of review this weekend.

Well, it’s official - I now work for Vicarious Visions. In the lowly position that is QA Tester. It’s not going to make me rich but, as my friend said - it’s getting paid to play video games. Of course, they will most likely, be broken unplayable video games but, at least I get a look behind the scenes. I don’t start till the 13th and probably won’t be able to say much beyond some vague remarks due to the whole NDA thing so don’t expect to hear to much about it…

Anyway, I have to go try the Sam and Max demo - you should too!
