According to the the chatter on the Interweb many brick and mortar stores have decided to start selling the DS Lite earlier then expected. The official US release date is still eleven days off but it's seems some stores have decided to try and cash in on the anticipated rush. I'd rush right out and pick one up myself but I'm still not certain I want the white one. I really want the Enamel Navy – which I've heard from a good source "is lovvvvely". Looks like I'll be taking a trip later this afternoon to check out the stores in my area.

What about the shiny black one that the Europeans will get on the 23rd? That is quite nice as well.
Yeah your right the black does look very nice! But, I’m not about to import it and who knows when it (or navy for that matter) will hit the states. *sigh* I want the navy.
