Well, it seems TheSpecialist has come to the communities aid! He has released a new version of his Xbox hard drive hacking program with support for the 120gig security sector. In order to use it, at the moment, you need to use a Western Digital Scorpio BEVS-LAT laptop hard drive - which I believe is model number WD1200BEVS (can anyone verify this?). That is the only drive supported by the software at the moment. Hopefully, the software see new revisions that will supports other drives in the future.

It seems the TiTAN Demo group has released a music player for the PSP! I have yet to try it out unfortunately but, from the comments on the release thread most people seem to like it. It supports a large number of the file formats used by many of the old school scene musicians so finding music to listen to shouldn’t be a problem. Check out Defacto2 for some links or grab a couple of music disks from TiTAN’s release page.
Supported file-types:
.669: 669 Composer/Unis669 (PC)
.AMF: Asylum Music Format (”Crusader” ingame music) (PC)

This story has been brewing since early this afternoon! Dark_Alex and Mathieulh have released a working downgrader (downdater) for PSPs running firmware version 2.71! QJ.net has all the information you need! I'm sure now it's only a matter of time till we see a downgrader for 2.80 firmware.
I can almost hear those Sony engineers uploading the 2.81 firmware to the server…

Wraggster over at DCEmu has posted an interview with homebrew developer Exophase. Exophase is the author of the "fullspeed" GameBoy Advance emulator for the PSP. I have yet to try the emulator out but, word on the interweb is that its a good piece of software. Maybe I'll take a few moments to try it out tomorrow.
