Working Hard For The Money

Well, it’s been a busy week (or two).  Monday signaled the end of my testing duties on one project and (thank goodness) I got moved over to another (one that is way more exciting to me).  Unfortunately, on Wednesday news had come down from the top (news that wasn’t unexpected) that the QA team is nearing the end of it’s life cycle.  But, as I said it was not unexpected – projects at the studio just haven’t lined up well enough to keep QA at their desks.  We’ve got a handful of games ending the development cycle at the same time and it will be a little while before testers will be needed again.  I’m just hoping I get an invite back when that time comes.

I’ve been trying to put together some thoughts on the whole QA thing well the first project is still fresh in my head – hopefully, that will be up here sometime soon.  I’ve also been trying to get some time coding with a devkit before I’m shoved out the door.  I need to get more out of this opportunity then my name on a couple of games.  ;)

That’s all for now…
